SHOWCASING TALENTED TEAMS
NORD Hosted Volleyball Tournament

NORD’s Athletic Division showcased their talented girls volleyball teams in a tournament held at the St. Bernard Center. The citywide volleyball event included 10 teams between the ages of 8 – 15 from the Behrman, Cut-Off and St. Bernard Centers. The event was designed to allow the participants to compete against each other, demonstrating the skills learned in the program, and to continue the development of the NORD girls’ programs.

The Department acknowledges Lisa Crinel and LACE Reception Place for the donation of more than one-hundred t-shirts for all participants. NORD centers, parks and playgrounds continue to host a number of programs and after school athletic activities for interested individuals. This year, NORD officials estimate that more than 10,000 youth and adults participate in NORD activities weekly.

Volleyball is currently being offered for NORD participants at the Behrman, Cut-Off, St. Bernard and Treme Centers with more than 100 registered participants.
