City of New Orleans Purchasing Portal
IN ORDER TO DO BUSINESS WITH THE CITY, it is necessary that you register online through the City website purchasing portal, the City’s online purchasing system, BuySpeed. Registering as a Contractor/Vendor/Supplier provides:
- Automatic Online Notification of RFP’s and Bids
- Secure Access to Change/Update Your Business Information
- Respond to Informal and Formal Bids Online
- View Your Purchase Orders and Status
- View Your Change Orders
- View Current RFP and Bid Status
- Contractor/Vendor/Supplier News and Important Information
- Ask Questions Online
Official Registration includes company information, allows the use of multiple addresses, multiple users, administrative user information, terms, categories, certifications and selection of all commodities and services related to the materials, supplies, equipment, public works, construction and all services your company provides.
TO REGISTER (First-Time Users), Access the City of New Orleans Website by Entering: www.cityofno.com on the Internet. Select ‘City Purchasing Portal’ and select ‘Click here to begin using the City of New Orleans Online Purchasing Portal’.
You are now at the City of New Orleans BuySpeed Online site. Click on ‘Disclaimer’ and read the disclaimer carefully then select ‘Close Window’.
Select ‘Register’ and enter your Official Company Name, Tax Identification Number and Company Information. Select the ‘Submit’ button and you are guided through the registration process. Add a user name and password for access to the system at any time.
When registering, be sure to select ALL commodity codes related to your business. Automatic online notification of RFP’s, Bids and Quotes is based upon matching commodity codes for your materials, supplies, equipment and services.
FOR DIRECT ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNT ENTER: http://purchasing.cityofno.com/bso/login.jsp on the Internet Site. Enter your Login and Password to proceed.
In order to view open bids and proposals without registering, go to www.cityofno.com, and select ‘Open Bids and Proposal’s. All open bids and proposals are available to view. Non-Registered Vendors may download all open bids and proposals as well, but bidding and receiving automatic notice of addenda/amendments requires full registration.
