Bonds Set in Excess of $6 Million for Alleged Gang Members
(New Orleans, LA) - An Orleans Parish Grand Jury today indicted Kentrell Hickerson, male, 29, Christin Grady, female, 23, and Chris L. McCann, male, 35, with charges surrounding the murder of Alvin Wilson, which occurred on June 29, 2008 at First and Prieur Streets, announced Orleans Parish District Attorney Leon A. Cannizzaro, Jr.
Kentrell Hickerson (AKA "Black," AKA "James Hickerson") and Christin Grady (AKA "Queen B") were each indicted with one count of second degree murder of Alvin Wilson. Hickerson was also charged with obstruction of justice, which occurred between June 29, 2008 and June 30, 2008.
Chris L. McCann (AKA "Boogie," AKA "Snoog") was charged with obstruction of justice, which occurred between June 29, 2008 and June 30, 2008. He was also charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, which occurred on June 30, 2009.
Grady was indicted for being an accessory after the fact to second degree murder, which occurred on or about April 6, 2009 to April 10, 2009.
Hickerson, McCann and Grady are further alleged to have committed the aforementioned offenses as activities of a street gang known as "3 N G."
Hickerson's bond was set at $3 million.
Grady's bond was set at $1,550,000.
McCann's bond was set at $1.6 million.
Also today, Landon D. Quinn, male, 18, was indicted with two counts of second degree murder. The victims were Matthew Miller and Ryan McKinley, and the incident occurred on April 14, 2009 in the 2000 block of Barracks Street. Quinn's bond was set at $1 million.
Conell Galle, male, 27, and Allen Scott, male, 26, were charged with two counts of attempted second degree murder, which stemmed from an incident that occurred on March 21, 2009 in the 2400 block of General Taylor Street. Each defendant was additionally charged as being a felon in possession of a firearm. Bond was set at $450,000 for each defendant.
