To register you must:

  • Be a United States citizen
  • Be at least 17 years old but must be 18 years old prior to next election to vote
  • Not be under an order of imprisionment for conviction of a felony
  • Not be under a judgement of interdiction for mental incompetence
  • Reside in the state and parish in which you seek to register

  • In person at Registration Office
  • By mail (applications provided at local libraries)
  • Department of Motor Vehicles
  • Public Assistance Agencies

    Change of Name and Address by mail

  • Call Registrars Office for furthur information.

    Absentee and Early Voting

  • In Person at Voter Registration Office
  • By mail - Request by mail should be submitted 60 days prior to Election.

    The Registrar of Voters Office's mission is to protect each citizen's basic civil right to vote by being complaint with Title 18 of the Louisiana Revised Statues.  We endeavor to provide Professional, effective, and efficient public service in the performance of our duties, which include voter registration, absentee and early voting, preservation of Voter registration documents, update of elections data, community outreach, and other such related services.
