The 3rd District coverage responsibilities include patrol of areas such as Lakeview, Gentilly and Westend. Dillard University, Southern University of New Orleans, Delgado Community College, University of New Orleans and City Park are located in the 3rd Police District.

Cops3 is a citizen’s organization for Police support in the 3rd District. Its mission is to support the 3rd District Law Enforcement Officers by providing equipment and essentials necessary to serve the community. To improve morale by recognizing the efforts of the officers and the jobs they perform on a daily basis. This group is open not just to 3rd District residents but to anyone who wants to join our crime fighting efforts.
