MISSION:
"The New Orleans Fire Department will respond to all emergency situations in the City of New Orleans to protect and save life and property. Further, the Department will strive to reduce the incidence of fire and the loss of life and injuries to civilians and fire personnel."

The New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) and the Office of Civil Service have had an overwhelming response from applicants interested in becoming NOFD Fire Recruits. Currently we have a sufficient amount applications to fill the vacancies within the NOFD and will not be accepting applications until further notice.
